Zsömi is a very lucky little dog.
I know this might be hard to believe seeing how strange her right-side legs are, but she could have ended up much worse.
I adopted Zsömi back in 2019, at the beginning of COVID. At that time, I was regularly commuting between England and Hungary, as I lived in England full-time, but I was helping out at a renowned veterinary clinic and doctor in Hungary.
It was an extremely difficult period for everyone, but especially for Zsömi...
Her rescuer brought her into the clinic. An animal rescue organization sponsored Zsömi for a long time to give her a chance at life. Her injuries were very severe. Her entire right side was paralyzed as a result of the accident.
She needed roughly 7 surgeries, countless hours of work, treatments, wound dressing, and care. That's how she eventually ended up with me.
Amidst the immense daily care, we somehow fell in love with each other, and today she happily runs around on her (otherwise still permanently disabled) legs.
